(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's basketball team rolled to a 71-25 win over visiting Bryn Mawr on Saturday.
The Devils jumped out to an 11-0 run and continued to build on the lead to take a 32-11 advantage at halftime. Senior Taylor Miller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) led the way with eight points and five steals in the opening 20 minutes.
The Devils held the Owls to just 23 percent shooting in the first half, forcing 17 turnovers.
The second half was much of the same as the Devils stretched their lead, outscoring Bryn Mawr, 39-14, after the break.
Miller finished with 11 points, five assists and six steals on the night. First-year Liz Schultz (Dunmore, Pa./Scranton Prep) led the Devils with a game-high 13 points, adding six rebounds.
First-year Carmen Mann (Vienna, Va./James Madison) turned in a solid performance, scoring eight points and controlling seven rebounds while blocking a pair of shots.
Junior Dana Walsh (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) added eight points and five rebounds while classmate Lindsay Finnerty (Tenafly, N.J./Tenafly) tallied eight points as well. Bridget Borgese (Swarthmore, Pa./Notre Dame de Namur) chipped in with six points, six rebounds and a pair of steals.
Jackie Handy led Bryn Mawr (0-9, 0-7) with 10 points while Nicolette Parmese controlled a game-high 13 rebounds.
The Red Devils improve to 2-10 overall and 2-5 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Haverford College on Tuesday night for a 6:00 pm tip-off.
