New Rochelle, NY - The Lady Cougars fell to the Lehman College Lightning 81-29 on Saturday January 14, 2012. The game was held at New Roc City in New Rochelle. The loss dropped the Lady Cougars to 2-12 Overall and 0-4 CUNYAC while Lehman improved to 8-9 Overall and 3-2 CUNYAC.

Lehman led from the opening tip. The Women played very sloppy basketball, committing 23 turnovers in the 1st half and 33 for the game. They shot 68.8% from the free throw line, which was a plus.

MEC was led from Senior Chantal Biscette. Biscette scored 21pts (9-12 FT), grabbed 9 rebounds, and tallied 2 steals. Fellow Senior Yvanna Jack  scored 8pts, grabbed 5 rebounds, recorded a block and 3 steals.

Lehman was led from Leslie Mencia. Mencia scored 22pts, Jaleesa Gordon added 17pts and Paula Robertson notched 16pts.

The Lady Cougars will be back in action on Monday January 16, 2012, when they take on the Merchant Marine Academy. Game time is 6pm at Medgar Evers College.
