WALTHAM, Mass – Jodie Luther scored a career high 32 points to lead the University of Rochester to a 77-56 victory over Brandeis University at the Auerbach Arena.

She hit 10 of 12 from the floor, 2 of 2 three-point shots, and made all 10 of her free throw attempts. Her previous career high was 23, set vs. Washington (Mo.) University last year and equaled against Baruch College earlier this season.

Rochester improved to 13-0 overall, 2-0 in the University Athletic Association. Jackie Walker added 13 points. Danielle McNabb scored eight, and Kristyn Wright had seven.

Brandeis (7-6, 0-2) was led by Morgan Kendrew's 18 points. Hannah Cain had eight points and 10 rebounds. Kelly Ethier and Diane Cincotta scored seven apiece.

The Yellowjackets are one of three teams at 2-0 in the UAA race, joining the University of Chicago and Washington. Rochester plays at NYU on Sunday. Brandeis hosts Emory.

UR led, 33-30, at halftime and built a nine-point lead, 49-40, six minutes into the second half. Brandeis ran off seven straight, pulling within 49-47 with 10:30 left. Rochester answered with a 14-4 run in the next three minutes and led, 63-51, with 7:19 remaining.

Luther's output came just three days after she scored a season's low five points in a 76-66 win over St. John Fisher on Tuesday. This was only Rochester's third victory in its last 11 trips to Brandeis. The 77 points are the most Rochester has ever scored in the Auerbach Arena. The facility is named for the former Boston Celtics coach and general manager. It opened in 1991-92. UR played its first game there in 1992-93.
