Brooklyn, NY- The Lady Cougars fell to York College Lady Cardinals 84-26 on Wednesday January 11, 2012 at MEC. The Lady Cougars fell to 2-11 Overall and 0-3 CUNYAC while York improved to 1-12 Overall and 1-2 CUNYAC.

York dominated from the opening tip. On paper, both teams looked even in their different categories. A team that entered the contest winless this season, looked determined to leave Brooklyn, NY with a victory. MEC didn't score their 1st bvasket until Senior Chantal Biscette hit a free throw (14:46 left in the 1st half). York led by as much as 28pts. Chantal Biscette play her tail off in this game. She scored 19pts and grabbed a game high 23 rebounds (18 def reb). She tallied an assist, 2 blocks, and a steal. Jasmine Dossou scored 4pts and Chathalia Jones added 3pts.

MEC shot 55.6% from the free throw line. That was the only positive category tonight. York shot low 40%'s in all 3 categories. Shadae Rice led York with 23pts. Vania St. Louis and Shadea Green both added 10pts.

MEC will be back in action on Saturday January 14, 2012 when they travel to New Roc City in New Rochelle, NY, where they will face the Lightning of Lehman College. Game time is set for 12pm.
