Sophomore guard Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) scored a team-high 16 points and hit four three-pointers, but Keuka College's women's basketball team suffered a 75-46 non-conference loss to SUNY Geneseo Tuesday night inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.

The loss snapped Keuka's (6-2 overall) modest five-game winning streak. Bandrowski scored 11 first-half points but the Storm still trailed 35-24 as Geneseo shot 14-for-34 (41.2 percent) in the half.

Trailing 11-6, Bandrowski drove the lane and hit a layup, then on the ensuing possession she knocked down a '3' with 12 minutes left in the half to pull Keuka even at 11-all. Bandrowski made another '3' one minute later for a 14-11 lead and sophomore Casey Chamberlain (Perry, NY/Perry) made another Keuka trey, one of five made three-pointers in the half, as the Storm took its largest lead, 17-13 with 10:20 remaining before halftime.

Geneseo (7-4) then went on a 22-7 run to take a 35-24 lead, and neither team scored over the final 1:39 of the half.

The Blue Knights came out red-hot in the second half, using an 18-4 spurt to extend their lead to 53-28 seven minutes into the second. A three-pointer from sophomore Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY/Sidney) pulled Keuka within 55-40 with 8:20 remaining, but the Storm couldn't get any closer and lost for the first time since a 99-78 setback at William Smith on Nov. 19.

Geneseo connected on 8 of its 18 three-point attempts (44.4 percent) while Keuka hit 7 of 27 shots from beyond the arc (25.9 percent). The Blue Knights shot 28-for-65 (43.1 percent) from the floor while limiting Keuka to 16-for-58 shooting (27.6 percent).

Sophomore Taylor Szwec (Candor, NY/Candor) scored six points with a team-leading six rebounds while Chamberlain, Gravel, junior Mariah Mouzon (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) and freshman Brittany Hadley (Jasper, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg) each scored five points for Keuka.  Geneseo enjoyed a 62-26 edge in rebounding.

Lea Sobieraski scored a game-high 19 points on 8-for-15 shooting while Shannon McGinnis added 14 points and nine rebounds for Geneseo.

The Storm returns to action with a 4 p.m. game Saturday afternoon at rival Gallaudet University before taking on Penn State-Harrisburg at 2 p.m.
