Marymount Women’s Basketball Falls in CAC Action

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team fell 65-45 to visiting Salisbury in Capital Athletic Conference action on Tuesday night.  The Saints drop to 3-5 on the year and fall to 1-2 in league play.

 

Katelyn Fischer led the Saints with 13 points and added a team-high eight rebounds, five assists and two steals.  Julie Tomesheski chipped in nine points and seven boards while Carolyn Hildreth added eight points and six rebounds.

 

For the Sea Gulls (4-3, 2-0 CAC), Anna Hackett scored a game-high 18 points while Milan Dry had 12.  Hackett also added seven assists and seven rebounds.


Marymount returns to the hardwood on Friday in a showdown against CAC rival and 24th-ranked Mary Washington.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/wBasketball and selecting the "live stats" and "live audio" links.
