LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's basketball team dropped a 60-42 decision to Northern Athletics Conference opponent, Concordia University-Wisconsin, on Saturday afternoon in the Dan and Ada Rice Center.

Concordia-Wisconsin (3-2, 3-0 NAC) took an early 9-2 lead but Benedictine (2-5, 1-2 NAC) came back to take a two-point lead on a 9-0 run with buckets from Mary Calov and Katie Hunzinger. The Falcons offense came alive, going up by as many as 13 with four minutes remaining in the half. The Eagles would chop at the lead and headed to the lockeroom down 33-22 at the half.

The Falcons were 7-13 from behind the arc in the first half with Brittany Zietlow draining three-of-five attempts.

In the second half, CUW continued to dominate offensively holding on to a double-figure lead the entire half. The Falcons went up by as many as 14 before making six-of-eight free throws in the final minutes of the game to take home the 60-42 victory over BenU.

As a team the Eagles out-rebounded the Falcons 37-31 and shot 32.6 percent from the field (15-for-46). Tracey Walsh led BenU with 12 points and had seven rebounds while Hunzinger scored six points and had a game-high 10 rebounds. Kam Haifleigh had four rebounds and was 3-for-4 from the field with nine points.

Tiffany Hendrickson led Concordia-Wisconsin with 15 points.

The BenU women's basketball team is back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 6 when they travel to Concordia University-Wisconsin for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
