The Chargers improve to 5-1 overall and go to 1-0 in the NAC. Lyndon falls to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.

Colby-Sawyer junior Cailin Bullett (Millbury, Mass.) led all players with 17 points on 6-8 shooting. She added a game-high seven assists in the win. Junior Taylor DeSanty (North Adams, Mass.) poured in 16 points and grabbed six boards. Junior Stephanie Larpenter (Sunapee, N.H.) added 13 points and six rebounds. Freshman Kelsey Cahill (Cumberland, R.I.) contributed eight points and a game-high 11 rebounds off the bench.

Lyndon was led by senior Naomi White (Danville, Vt.) who scored 14 points, including a 9-9 performance from the free throw line. Junior Donna Lawson (Irasburg, Vt.) was the only other Hornet to reach double figures with 10 points.

The Chargers dominated play from the tip and controlled the tempo throughout. Colby-Sawyer shot 50% from the floor (18-36) and from beyond the arc (5-10) in the first half en route to a 47-24 lead at the break. The Chargers also took advantage of 17 first half turnovers, which resulted in 23 points. Bullett scored 15 of her 17 points in the first frame.

The second half was much of the same for the home team as they held Lyndon to just two field goals on 7.7% shooting. The Chargers spent most of the second half in the painted area where they scored 24 of their 38 points.

Colby-Sawyer outscored Lyndon 20-0 on the fast break and had a 47-9 edge in bench points. The home team also held a 61-27 edge in rebounding.

Colby-Sawyer plays its first road NAC contest on Saturday at Johnson State. Tip is scheduled for 3:00 pm. Lyndon will host the NAC's other new addition, New England College, on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
