WINONA, Minn (November 29, 2011) - UW-Stout scored the first five points of the game, but Winona State launched off on a 20-0 run over the next eight minutes to take control on their way to an 80-42 win Tuesday at McCown Gymnasium.
The Warriors (5-1) had three players in double figures, while the Blue Devils (3-4) had no players break 10 points. Sami Schoeder (So, Durand) led Stout with nine points, while Ronnie Moltzau (Fr, Eleva) came off the bench to score eight. Whitney Rawdon (Jr, Eau Claire), Stout's leading scorer, was held to a season-low four points and was not credited with a rebound.
Winona's Beth Alberson and Katie Wolff led all scorers with 15 points apiece. Michelle McDonald added 14 points. Kelsey Andrist, daughter of UW-Stout men's basketball coach, finished the night with three points and three assists.
Stout will open the WIAC schedule Saturday, Dec. 3 when they travel to UW-Whitewater for a 4 p.m. tip-off.
