KERRVILLE, TX - The Mississippi College women's basketball team scored the final eight points in a 56-48 win over Schreiner on Monday night in Edington Gymnasium.

The Lady Choctaws (2-1, 2-0 ASC) jumped out to a 30-13 lead with 4:15 remaining in the first half and took a 33-21 advantage into the halftime break.

The lead grew to as many as 15 points in the second half, but the Mountaineers (1-3, 0-2 ASC) chipped away and eventually tied the game at 48-48 with just 2:53 to go in the game.

MC put the game away late, going 4-4 from the free throw line as they scored the game's final eight points for the victory.
