Blue Devils fall flat against Division II St. Cloud State

ST. CLOUD, Minn (November 22, 2011) - It's as simple as this. UW-Stout had trouble finding the basket and St. Cloud State University didn't as the Huskies defeated the Blue Devils, 93-34, Tuesday in Halenbeck Hall.

Stout shot 18 percent in the first half, improved to 26 percent in the second half to finish at 22.4 percent (11-49). The Huskies, who pulled out to a 46-12 halftime lead, shot 39 percent in the first half, then sizzled at 64 percent in the second half and finished at 47.7 percent (31-65).

The Huskies (3-1) jumped out to a 16-0 lead after five minutes and this one was never in doubt.

Whitney Rawdon (Jr, Eau Claire) was the only Blue Devil (1-3) to break into double digits, finishing with 14 points, 10 in the second half. No other Stout player had more than three points.

The Huskies got 22 points from Sam Price, 14 points from Carley Jeffery and 10 points from Nicole Anderson.

Stout will host the Quality Inn and Suites Turkey Shootout Saturday, Nov. 26 and Sunday, Nov. 27. Stout will play St. Scholastica Saturday at 5 p.m. and the Unversity of Dubuque Sunday at 3 p.m.
