Mitchell freshman Sheanna James' bucket with 8:45 left in the first half cut the deficit to 15-14, but that would be the final field goal of the half for the Mariners. The Mariners would add a pair of free throws by senior Bianca Young with 1:09 left and Coast Guard led 28-16 at the break.
