The Millikin women's basketball team knocked off #20 Wisconsin-Whitewater 78-73 on Nov. 20 in the final game of Millikin's Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament.

          The Big Blue rode hot shooting to the victory knocking down 51 percent of its shots including 55.6 percent from three point range.  Millikin out rebounded the Warhawks 34-27.

          Whitewater had a 36-32 advantage at the half, but the Big Blue rallied in the second half thanks in part to hitting on 5-8 from three point range. 

          The Big Blue had four players in double figures led by Julia Robert with 19.  Cecily Aldridge had 15, Crystal Zeigler added 14 and Nikki Tipsword had 13 points and a team high seven rebounds.

          Mary Merg led the Warhawks with 27 points including 16 points in the first half.  Merg started the game with Whitewater's first 12 points.  Kaityn Thill and Cortney Kumerow each had 15.

          Millikin will host Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m.
