The top-seeded Baruch Bearcats defeated the eighth-seeded Beavers of CCNY, 75-41, in a CUNYAC/Con Edison Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinal round contest on Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats (21-5) shot 48 percent (19-40) in the first half and forced the visiting Beavers into 31 total turnovers to cruise into the CUNYAC semifinals for the ninth consecutive year.

Monique Salmonled the Bearcats with 13 points (6-8 fg), nine assists and three steals, while Camille Voitot finished with 12 points.

Karyn Purcellscored 11 points, four assists and three steals. Jessica Dulebaand Megan Bouwens (eight rebounds, four steals) rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points each.

Shamika Boycehad another busy game off the bench with 12 rebounds and four steals.

Syreeta Williams led CCNY (5-21) with a team-high 17 points and nine rebounds.

The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, February 22nd, with a CUNYAC semifinal against #4 seed John Jay. Tip off at CCNY's Nat Holman Gymnasium is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
