Riverdale, N.Y. – Freshman Shannon Koch (Kings Park, N.Y.) led four players in double-figures as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Basketball team extended its winning streak to three games with a 94-60 victory over Yeshiva on Tuesday night. Joining Koch in double-figures was junior Kara McNish (Hawthorne, N.J.) who collected her 10th double-double of the season.

Mount Saint Vincent never trailed in the contest and after Tanisha Montague (Brooklyn, N.Y.) capped a 10-0 run to open the game, the Dolphins did not let Yeshiva any closer then that before halftime. The lead ballooned to 22 points after another Montague bucket at the 10 minute mark, but the Maccabees scored 15 of the final 25 points in the frame to close to within 10 points at the break.

The Dolphins shot an even 50-percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes and were led by 10 points off the bench from Montague. The scoring output from the freshman guard matched a career-high in the scoring column in just 12 minutes of action.

Yeshiva was kept in the game in the first half by Shir Fuchs who knocked down four three-pointers on her way to 18 points. Overall Fuchs went 6-for-12 from the field in the opening period and 4-ofor-7 from behind the arc. The next highest scorer on the team registered four points for the Maccabees.

Trailing by 10 at the break, Yeshiva opened the second half with a triple from Avigail Varnai to slice its deficit to seven points. That would be as close as it would get as the Dolphins answered with a quick 7-0 spurt to open the lead back up to 14 points with 18:14 left in regulation.

The Dolphins would keep the lead between 12 and 18 points through the middle stages of the half, until a 21-3 run would open the advantage up to a game-high 34 points after a Koch jumper with 5:41 left in the contest.

Koch scored 13 of her career-high 17 points after halftime on Tuesday after going 5-for-7 from the floor in the second half and a perfect 3-for-3 from three point range. Overall in the game she went 7-for-13 from the field and also hauled in four rebounds for the Mount.

The win pushes Mount Saint Vincent to 9-15 overall on the season and 7-11 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will look to close out the regular season with a fourth straight win on Wednesday night when they host Staten Island. Tip-off at the Peter Jay Sharp Center is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
