(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - 13 Saints reached the scoring column in the top-ranked Thomas More College women's basketball team's 93-65, win over Waynesburg University tonight (Wednesday, February 9, 2011) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 22-0 overall and 13-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 16-6 overall and 9-5 in the PAC.

Thomas More raced out to an early 15-4 when senior forward Amy Stultz (Amelia, Ohio/McNicholas) made a lay-up with 14:51 to play in the first half.  Waynesburg came right back with a 4-0 run to cut the lead to 15-8 with 14:14 to play in the half when Elaine Hasek made a lay-up.  The Saints answered with a 7-1 run to extend the lead to 22-9 when senior forward Dana Bors (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) made one-of-two free-throws at the 12:02 mark of the half.  The Yellow Jackets used an 8-4 run to cut the lead to 26-17 with 8:37 to play in the opening half when Brittany Spencer made two free-throws.  Thomas More closed out the half on a 25-4 run to take a 51-21 halftime lead when Bors made a three-pointer with 1:21 to play in the half.

Thomas More opened the second half on a 21-13 run to extend the lead to 72-34 with 13:07 to play in the game when sophomore guard Chelsea Tolliver (Morning View, Ky./Simon Kenton) made one-of-two free-throws.  Waynesburg responded with a 9-1 run capped by a three-pointer by Hasek to cut the lead to 73-43 with 11:01 to play in the game.  The Saints came right back with a 14-5 run to take their biggest lead of the game at 87-48 when freshman guard Amanda Chucta (Sunbury, Ohio/Big Walnut) made a three-pointer with 7:10 to play in the game.  Waynesburg closed the game on a 17-6 run, but it wasn't enough as the Saints won 93-65.

Three Saints reached double-figure scoring as senior center Nicole Dickman (Park Hills, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) had a game-high 21 points, sophomore guard Allison Long (Hebron, Ky./Conner) had 12 and Tolliver finished with 11.  Sophomore forward/center Katie Kees (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) led the team on the boards with a game-high seven rebounds, while Tolliver and freshman guard Devin Beasley (Burlington, Ky./Conner) lead the team in assists with five each.

Thomas More will travel to Bethany, West Virginia on Saturday (February 12, 2011) as it plays Bethany College in its final regular season road game.  The game will tip-off at 2 p.m. inside the Hummel Field House.
