DE PERE, Wis. - St. Norbert College earned at least a share of its tenth Midwest Conference championship with a 65-52 win over Beloit College at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (19-2, 15-1 MWC) also clinched home-court advantage for the Midwest Conference Tournament on Feb. 25-26 due to holding the tiebreaker over second-place Monmouth, which is two games back with two to play. The league title is a MWC record for the Green Knights, and head coach Connie Tilley earned her 550th career win.

Beloit held a 16-14 lead with 6 minutes 19 seconds remaining in the first half before the Green Knights went on a 14-0 run. Krista Pelky's 3-pointer with 5:14 left before halftime put the Green Knights ahead, and she canned another triple on the next possession for a 20-16 lead. Krista Hawkinson added a 3-pointer and Rachel Hermus followed with a hoop and a 3-pointer to close out the run. Pelky's 3-pointer gave St. Norbert a 31-19 lead at halftime.

The Buccaneers got to within 31-25 early in the second half but the visitors would not get closer than seven points the rest of the game.

Hermus led a balanced scoring effort for St. Norbert, which is ranked 18th in the D3hoops.com Top 25. Hermus finished with 17 points, while Hawkinson came off the bench for 15 points. Pelky added 13 and Stefanie Bunday 10. The Green Knights were 21-for-54 (38.9 percent) from the floor but canned 11 of 20 (55 percent) 3-pointers.

Amanda Moore led Beloit with 14 points, while Kandace Fox and Lauren McNanna each added 12. The Buccaneers shot 34 percent from the floor, making 18 of 53 shots.
