NEWTON, MA-  After averaging 24 points, three rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 55% from the floor, Kayla Vincelette (Westport, MA) repeated as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

Vincelette scored a game and season-high 29 points on Saturday against Emerson College, shooting 9-for-16 from the field, 3-of-7 from the arc and 8-of-11 from the line, while also adding six rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal.  Earlier in the week, also in GNAC play, the rookie guard eclipsed the 20-point mark once more, scoring 26 points at Albertus Magnus, while also contributing four steals and two assists.  Finally, against non-conference regional power Keene State, Vincelette recorded 17 points, two assists, and two steals.  She was the high-scorer in all three contests this week.

Vincelette is leading the Lasers this season with a 13.9 points-per-game average.  She is shooting 41.3% from the field for the year (85-206) and is also contributing 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.  She is ranked 9^th in the GNAC in scoring, 11^th in field goal percentage, and 9^th in total minutes played this season.

Lasell's women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, January 29^th when they travel to Saint Joseph College of Connecticut for a 1:00 p.m. game with the Blue Jays.
