DOVER, Del.--Sophomore Dyanna Prater of the Hood College women's basketball team (7-9, 2-7 CAC) netted a career-high 20 points but the Blazers dropped a 76-44 Capital Athletic Conference decision at Wesley College (8-10, 3-6 CAC) Saturday.

Prater hit 7-of-14 from the field and 6-of-8 from the foul line to account for nearly half of the Blazers' scoring output. She eclipsed her previous high of 19 points set against this same Wesley squad in the initial meeting between the teams on Dec. 4 in Frederick.

Allyson Lethbridge knocked down Hood's lone three-pointer of the afternoon to move into a tie for third place with Sara Wastler '09 on Hood's career triples list (106).

Kameran Evans chipped in seven points off the bench while Briana White added six.

Hood had a tough time getting the offense to click, connecting on just four field goals in the first half and misfiring on all 12 attempts from long range. The Wolverines led 34-17 at halftime.

Wesley shot 56 percent from the field in the second half and went on to pick up its third CAC win of the season.

Heather Boyce saw her first action in the blue-and-grey, contributing a pair of free throws, an assist and three rebounds in 12 minutes of work.

The Blazers return home Wednesday to host the St. Mary's College (Md.) Seahawks at 6 p.m. at the Odom Fitness Center.
