With the score tied in the final minute, Connie Urmanski (Edgar, Wis.) hit a jump shot with 46 seconds left to break a 59-59 tie and propel the Yellowjackets to the win.

The see-saw game saw the lead change hands several times in the first half, with the Yellowjackets eventually opening up a ten point lead and taking a seven-point advantage, 36-29, into the half.  Kelsey Thingvold (Crystal, Minn.) led the way in the first half, scoring 12 points.  In the second half, the Yellowjackets stretched their lead to as many as 14, leading 53-39 with just over 13 minutes to play in the game.  The Crusaders came back, however, going on an 18-4 run to tie the game.  Following the winning shot by Urmanski, Bri Davis (Hermantown, Minn.) got a rebound off a missed free throw and made the layup, putting the final nail in the Clarke University coffin.

Davis led the charge for the Yellowjackets, scoring 23 points and pulling down 13 rebounds, both team highs.  She also tied for the team lead with five assists and had a team-leading two blocked shots.  Thingvold added 16 points and also had four rebounds.

Jenna Kotas led the Crusaders in scoring with 14 points, while Brittany Collier had 12 points, the only two Clarke players in double figures.
