Behind a career high 38 points from Julia Robert, the Millikin women's basketball team defeated Fontbonne University 75-67 in the Tri-Conference Tournament played at Millikin University.  Millikin is now 5-3 on the season while Fontbonne goes to 4-5.

            Robert was 14-20 from the field including 7-11 from three point range.  Robert also had five rebounds and four steals.  Robert sent Tri-Conference tournament records for points and field goals made in a game.

            Elise Wildman had 16 points for Millikin.  Wildman now has 992 points in her Millikin career.  Crystal Zeigler had 14 points and a team high 14 rebounds. 

            Millikin trailed 37-35, but out scored the Griffins by 10 points in the second half to pull out the victory.  Millikin shot 51 percent from the field including 36 percent from three point range.  Fontbonne hit on 43 percent of its shots including 35 percent from three point range.  Millikin out rebounded Fontbonne 39-22.

            Fontbonne got 13 points from Rana Boyd and 11 each from Shelby Ellison and Leola Leonard.

            Millikin will host the Harriett Crannell Holiday Classic Dec. 17-19.  The Big Blue will take on Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday at 7:30 p.m. before facing Blackburn on Dec. 19 at 3 p.m.
