Ole women pull away in second half to beat Pipers

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Eileen O'Donoghue had 17 points and 12 rebounds off the bench as St. Olaf pulled away from Hamline University for a 83-70 MIAC women's basketball victory on Sunday afternoon at Skoglund Center.

Mackenzie Wolter and Terin Euerle added 14 points each in the victory for the Oles (5-3, 2-3 MIAC), who had a season-low five turnovers.

Hamline (1-6, 0-4 MIAC) was led by post Mary Wilkowski's 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Wilkowski had 16 points in the first half.

St. Olaf held a three-point lead at the half. Hamline took a two-point advantage in the opening minutes of the second frame, but St. Olaf countered with a 7-0 rally two take a 77-68 lead with 2:07 left.

Katie Lauer was the Oles' other scorer in double figures with 12. Hamline had five with at least 10 -- Brianna Blackhawk and Kara Poirier with 13, Stephanie Robinson with 12 and Nikki Klink with 10.
