Lasers Drop Non-Conference Game to WNEC 65-51

Springfield, MA--First year player Kayla Vincelettecontinues to be a big part of the Laser offense, scoring 13 points and dishing out 5 assists in the loss to the Golden Bears of WNEC. The women played a very strong first half, where there were 7 ties and 7 lead changes.  The half-time score had Lasell trailing 18-22. 

The Golden Bears came out strong in the second half though and jumped out to an 11 point lead just two minutes into the period.   The Lasers cut the margin to eight (46-38) when senior guard Katie Farr drained a three-pointer at the 8:06 mark. Despite pressuring the ball and 16 points from Farr, the women were unable to overcome the deficit and eventually dropped the game 65-51. 

Farr led three Lasell players in double figures with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Freshman guard Kayla Vincelette added 13 points and sophomore forward Kim Archibald chipped in with 10 points and a team high seven rebounds.

The women will travel to Trinity College on Tuesday, November 30th for another non-conference match-up.  Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
