(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - Sophomore guard Chelsea Tolliver (Morning View, Ky./Simon Kenton) scored a game-high 18 points to lead the 12th-ranked Thomas More College women's basketball team to a 71-49 win over Westminster College today (Saturday, December 11, 2010) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Titans fall to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the PAC.

Thomas More raced out to an 18-6 lead when sophomore center/forward Katie Kees (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother Mercy) made a lay-up with 11:12 to play in the first half.  Westminster responded with a 5-2 run capped by a lay-up by Kaitlin McCarthy to cut the lead to 20-11 with 9:19 to play in the half.  The Saints then closed out the half on a 15-8 run to extend the lead to 35-19 at halftime when freshman guard Emily Sanker (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) made one-of-two free-throws with 32-seconds to play in the first half.

Thomas More opened the half on a 15-5 run capped by a three-pointer by Tolliver to extend the lead to 50-24 with 13:31 to play in the game.  The Titans answered with a 9-4 run to cut the lead to 54-33 with 10:56 to play in the game when Danielle Gilmore made a jumper.  Thomas More then used a 9-0 run to take its biggest lead of the game at 63-33 when freshman forward Dana Bors (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) made a lay-up.  Westminster closed out the game on a 16-8 run for the final score of 71-49.

Two other Saints finished in double-figures as senior center Nicole Dickman (Park Hills, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) had 13 points and Kees finished with 12.  Kess led the team on the boards with a game-high seven rebounds and led the team with a game-high three blocks and three assists.

The Saints will now travel to Honolulu, Hawaii to play in the Hoop N Surf Classic on December 19 and 20.  On the 19th, the Saints will play No. 3-ranked Christopher Newport University at 2 p.m. Eastern and then play Ithaca College on 20th at 9 p.m. Eastern.
