St. Mary's City, Md. – All 13 players scored for the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team as the Seahawks rebounded from Saturday's loss with a 70-37 victory over visiting Trinity (D.C.) University Tuesday night.

First-year guard Shana Lewis (Bowie, Md./Bowie) paced the Seahawks (2-2) in the win with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting and six steals while first-year forward Sophie Pruden (Carrboro, N.C./Chapel Hill) collected game-best 11 rebounds and added seven points.

The first half featured three draws before first-year guard Aura Payne (Glen Burnie, Md./Severn School) gave St. Mary's the lead for good with a three-pointer at 10:51, putting her team ahead by one.  From that point on, the Seahawks would close out the half on a 28-4 run to own a 34-19 advantage at intermission.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Seahawks opened up the stanza with a 19-0 run before sophomore guard LaShawna Ervin (Washington, D.C.) netted Trinity's first field goal of the half at 14:20.  Ervin finished the game with game-best 14 points while senior forward Danielle Owens (Washington, D.C.) added 10.

St. Mary's staunch defense forced 34 Tiger miscues, including 20 alone in the first half.  The Seahawks also received 36 points from the bench with first-year forward Raven Owens (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) leading the way with eight points as a reserve.  Senior forward Jamie Roberts (Rockville, Md./The Barrie School) had strong play off the bench by adding six steals, five points, four assists and three caroms off the bench.

Sophomore guard Charity Blackwell (Fort Washington, Md.) equaled the game-high with 11 rebounds before fouling out for Trinity (2-1).

St. Mary's returns to action after Thanksgiving with a non-conference contest on Sunday, November 28 at 1:00 pm against Pennsylvania State University-Harrisburg to the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena.
