PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior Kathy Andrade (Hull, Mass.) put back a rebound with four seconds remaining Monday evening to give Emerson College a 66-64 victory over Plymouth State University in the women's basketball season opener for both schools at Foley Gymnasium.

Andrade finished with a double-double for the Lions, scoring a game-high 19 points and collecting a team-high 14 rebounds.  Sophomore Olivia DiNucci (Pittsburgh, Pa.) added 15 points in the victory, and sophomore Amy Sherman (Toronto, Ont.) chipped in with 11.

Kania also reached a significant milestone for the Panthers, becoming the 10th player in the program's history to score her 1,000th career point.  She reached the plateau on a layup midway through the second half.

Emerson's winning basket capped a wild finish to the game.  Andrade made the second of two free throws with 24 seconds remaining to put the Lions ahead by two, 64-62.  PSU freshman Kellie Walsh (Londonderry, N.H.) made two clutch free throws with 12 seconds remaining to tie the game at 64-all.
