WESTMINSTER, MD – Johns Hopkins scored the game's first points and led wire-to-wire in a 79-45 win over host McDaniel Wednesday night in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays improve to 15-7 overall and remain atop the conference standings at 9-1. The Green Terror fall to 13-8 and 3-7 in the conference.
JHU jumped out to an 8-0 lead off a pair of old-fashioned three-point plays by Charlie Jackson and Brian Johansson and a Wyatt Eglinton Manner layup. McDaniel sliced the deficit to three with a Kevin Connelly triple and a Chuck Contee layup with 16:52 to play in the first.
Jeb Williams then hit a layup, followed by a three-pointer, to spark a 29-2 run that spanned more than 10 and a half minutes. Williams, Luke Thoburn and John Windley combined for 21 of the Blue Jays' 29 points during the run. Windley capped the run with a pull-up jumper at 5:59 to stake Hopkins to a 37-7 lead. The Green Terror responded with a 14-7 spurt to make it a 23-point game with just 25 ticks on the clock. Logan Feller had the final say of the half, draining a three-point buzzer beater to make it a 47-21 game at the half.

Hopkins scored 10 unanswered points, book-ended by triples from Feller and Jackson, to push out to a 63-32 lead. The Green Terror kept battling but could get no closer than 25 over the final 10:28 of the game.
