BW Men's Basketball Falls to John Carroll in Crosstown OAC Matchup

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to John Carroll University in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 82-55 in the DeCarlo Varsity Center.

BW Leaders (9-13, 5-10 OAC)

  • Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) took control for the Jackets with a game-high 19 points and four rebounds

John Carroll Leaders (17-5, 12-3 OAC)

  • Senior guard Luke Frazier tallied 20 points with eight rebounds, three assists and one block
  • Senior forward Henry Raynor recorded a double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, six blocks and two assists

First Half

  • John Carroll outscored BW 42-27
  • The Yellow Jackets tied the Blue Streaks with four three-pointers
  • John Carroll provided the most assists with seven

Second Half

  • The Blue Streaks outscored the Brown and Gold 40-28
  • John Carroll had the most assists with five
  • The Blue Streaks won the three-pointer battle by a 5-3 margin

BW is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 15 for its regular season home finale against Wilmington College. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
