The Bison were put to the test early with a 7-2 deficit through the game's first two minutes, but rose to the challenge by scoring six straight points to take an 8-7 lead, ending with a Percy layup. Endicott countered with back-to-back triples, which in-turn helped them build their lead up to 21-14 at the midway point of the half. Ethan Minarik then knocked down his own three-pointer at the 9:15 mark, kicking off a sizeable 12-3 Bison run that brought the score to a 26-26 stalemate with 7:00 to play. The two teams traded baskets the rest of the half, with Nichols clinging to a narrow one-point lead of 38-37 at the conclusion.
The close play continued through the first five minutes of the second half, until Endicott utilized a 10-2 run to draw ahead 60-53 with 13:00 to go. Several minutes later, with the Gulls now leading by 14 points, the Bison managed to trim the lead back to single-digits following consecutive jumpers from Savoy and Flowers-Smith, as well as a St. Louis free throw, making it 79-67. Endicott then answered with their own 11-3 run, putting the game well out of reach and leading them to their eventual 93-77 triumph.
The Bison head back on the road this coming Saturday to complete the regular season series with the University of New England (6-16, 4-11 CNE). Tip-off against the Nor'easters is set for 3:00 PM.
