SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's basketball team eclipsed 100 points for the first time in 2024-25, securing a 109-50 win over Regent on Saturday afternoon inside Maggs Gymnasium.

Before the contest, the team held its annual alumni basketball game as well as a pregame ceremony remembering Jack Ferguson, a former Sea Gull basketball player who tragically passed during his senior season after a battle with histiocytic sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Brendan Davis was awarded the 2024-25 Jack Ferguson Leadership award, the highest honor in the SU men's basketball program given to the team's most selfless teammate and leader each year.

The Sea Gulls (15-5) ran away with the matchup in the early minutes, embarking on a 34-4 run in the opening 13 minutes and change. Jordan Oates and Leon Elung combined for 15 points in that span to lead the offensive charge.

The Royals (5-13) found their footing late in the half, but seven points from Oates helped SU outpace its guests by a 17-12 margin to tote a 51-16 lead into the locker room. A 23-4 run to open the second half helped extend the lead, powered by 12 combined points from Oates and Elung as well as four from Daniel Oyediran.

Oyediran and Steve-Kelyan Ndingue helped maintain the distance late in the contest, with the pair joining forces for 18 points in the final 11 minutes to help secure the 109-50 win.
