BW Men's Basketball Falls to No. 24 John Carroll in OAC Home Contest

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to No. 24 John Carroll University in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 95-76 in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside of the Lou Higgins Center.

BW Leaders (7-9, 3-6 OAC)

  • Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) led the way with a team-high 22 points while notching five rebounds, two assists and one steal
  • Junior guard Myles Reynolds (Cleveland / St. Edward) tallied 20 points with six rebounds and four assists

John Carroll Leaders (12-4, 7-2 OAC)

  • Senior guard Luke Frazier dominated for the Blue Streaks with 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal
  • Senior forward Will Yontek put up 19 points with two rebounds and one block

First Half

  • John Carroll outscored BW 41-29
  • The Yellow Jackets scored the most three-pointers with three total
  • The Brown and Gold tied the Blue Streaks with four assists

Second Half

  • The Blue Streaks outscored BW 54-47
  • John Carroll tied the Yellow Jackets with 10 assists
  • The Brown and Gold won the three-pointer battle by a 9-4 margin

BW is back in action on Saturday, Jan. 25 as it travels to Otterbein University for an OAC road matchup. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. in the Rike Center.
