HOW IT HAPPENED

Eleven Pioneers scored and Lewis & Clark turned 25 Arrows turnovers into a 44-0 advantage on points off turnovers, to cruise in their second meeting of the year with Portland Bible.

Senior Mikey Medlock Jr. led five Pioneers in double-figures with a game-high 18 points. Medlock Jr. went 6-9 from the field and hit four of his six 3-point attempts to score 18 points in just 14 minutes of action.

Kody Uyesugi (13 points), Andre Treadwell (12), Sam Henderson (10) and Justin White (10) all joined Medlock Jr. in double-figures. White finished with seven rebounds, five assists and five steals in the best game of his first collegiate season. Treadwell tacked on seven rebounds and three assists.

Jake Rodriguez and Sebastian DePrez each posted nine points apiece, while senior Nik Berry chipped in eight points.

First year Marcus Bast was Lewis & Clark's leading playmaker in the contest. The first year posted eight of the Pioneers 25 assists and tacked on five points in 23 minutes of play.

Portland Bible jumped out to a 7-2 lead just over three minutes into the game but that would be the last time the visitors would lead.

First year Donovan Beard hit a layup to make it 7-4 and Rodriguez knocked down three-straight free throws to tie the game 7-7 with 15:20 left in the half. Beard added a layup off a Bast steal to make it 9-7 and Lewis & Clark would add six more points to cap off a 13-0 run.

Jonny Kubala momentarily stemmed the momentum with a layup for Portland Bible to make it 15-9 (13:24 left in the half) but Lewis & Clark would just go another extended run.

The Pioneers would score the next 25 points unanswered to push their lead to 40-9 with 7:05 left in the half. Medlock Jr. scored the first seven points of the run and Uysegui (two), Treadwell and Taien Jackson all hit 3-pointers during the flurry.
