Ferrum, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team struggled to find its rhythm on Sunday afternoon, falling to Ferrum by a score of 82-54. The Bishops were unable to recover from a sluggish first-half start, trailing 41-27 at the break, and despite a stronger second-half effort, NCWU was unable to close the gap.

The Bishops were paced by two players in double figures, with forward Kyron Kelly leading the way in the post. Kelly finished with twelve points and six rebounds, showing tremendous presence in the paint as Wesleyan scored 34 of its 54 points from inside. Guard Marquis Eskew also contributed twelve points, going 5-of-12 from the floor, including a three-pointer. Eskew's consistent play continues to be a bright spot for the Bishops early in the season.
Despite the loss, the Bishops showed some positive signs. NCWU went 7-of-11 from the free throw line, demonstrating efficiency at the charity stripe. On the defensive end, Wesleyan did a solid job defending on the perimeter, holding the Panthers to just 35.3% (6-of-17) from beyond the arc.
