FREDERICK, Md. – Jevon Yarbrough leads men's basketball over Gallaudet in a coast-to-coast victory with a score of 107-65 on Friday night to advance to the Battle of D.C. & Maryland finals.

Jevon Yarbrough led the Blazers with 16 points and three steals.

Troy Fulton went 6-for-10 from the field dropping 15 points with four steals.

Gage Linton shined in the second half scoring 14 while pulling down nine rebounds in his first collegiate game.

How it Happened

Coming off a win last week against a ranked opponent, the Blazers were back in tournament play in another local team in Gallaudet. Five unanswered points for the Bison started the first showing pace with a fastbreak layup and a shot from deep.

Yarbrough picking up where he left off last weekend later providing a pair of three-balls of his own to heat up the Blazer offense and put them over the Bison lead.

Halfway through the second brought Fulton to make back-to-back buckets to take that teetering five-point lead past ten and beyond.

Relief with three minutes to go in the first half came in the form of the first year bunch in getting some solid minutes.

"We started out kind of sluggish and the young guys gave us some juice," said head coach Chad Dickman. "I enjoyed seeing them in action and that energy sent a message to our veterans to put their foot on the gas."

The second half ended with the Blazers pulling away by 26 points.

The Blazers cruised through the second half with contributions from the entire team.

We are used to having a Linton all over a stat sheet and although Garrison dished six assists on the afternoon, his brother Gage filled it in with his total of 13 minutes and utilized that opportunity to be involved in every play. The energy from his steps looked different than those of the Bison who already had plenty of minutes in the game.

CJ Jackson entered the chat with his play beyond the arc while Jake Bolyn drained one of his own to cap the 14-2 run off just via first year points.

For the Opponent

Blessed Mbogo led the Bison with 16 points.

Analysis

Hood picked up 70 points off the bench.

The Blazers dominated the paint with 36 points compared to Gallaudet's 16.
