Emil Purisic Scores His 1,000th Career Point, Baruch Defeats Brooklyn for 8-0 in CUNYAC

The Baruch College Bearcats recorded their eighth straight win defeating the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 80-67, on Tuesday night at West Quad Center.

They stretched their CUNYAC win streak to 18 in a row (regular and postseason) dating back to last season and continue to sit in first place in the CUNYAC standings with an 8-0 record.

The big highlight this evening was Emil Purisic scoring the 1,000th point of his brilliant career as he becomes the 25th Bearcat to reach the scoring milestone. He scored his 1,000 point with a jump shot with 15:52 left in the contest.

The visiting Bearcats shot well this evening at 52 percent (27-for-52) and received solid bench scoring with 42 total points, which included Sayeed Osorio with a career-high 19 points (8-of-11 fg) off the bench.

Mohamed Gueye (5-of-6 fg) and Devin Nicholson scored 12 points each. Purisic finished with 10.

Malik Dale led the Bulldogs with 24 points.
