Isaiah Dahl Scores 30 in, 85-77, Loss at VTSU Castleton

Castleton, Vt.—Sophomore guard Isaiah Dahl (Cornelius, Ore.) scored a career-high 30 points, while shooting 9-for-16 from three-point range, as Rhode Island College fell at VTSU Castleton, 85-52, in Little East men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Spartans came out flying by going on a 19-3 run over the first 6:01 to start the game. The Anchormen subsequently went on a 12-3 run to cut the host's lead down to seven, 22-15, halfway through the first half.
 
• Dahl would hit a trio of three-pointers in a 1:17 time span late in the half to send the visitors into halftime down by seven, 49-36.
 
• After a back and forth second half, a layup by senior forward Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) pulled RIC within a pair, 76-74, with 2:22 remaining.
 
• A big three-pointer from Castleton graduate guard Scott Lampron (Concord, N.H.) would propel the Spartans to the victory.
 
• Kourouma finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds for his 14th double-double on the season.
 
• Freshman guard CJ Wilson (Hartford, Conn.) chipped in with 10 points, five, boards, three assists and three steals.
 
• Dahl's nine treys are tied for the third-most in a game in program history.
