Wilson Nets a Career-High 24 as Men's Basketball Falls at WestConn, 78-66

Danbury, Conn.--Freshman guard CJ Wilson (Hartford, Conn.) established a new career-high with 24 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds as Rhode Island College lost at Western Connecticut, 63-62, in Little East men's basketball action played at Feldman Arena on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After trailing, 12-3, early in the first half, the Anchormen were able to bounce back and tie the game, 17-17, thanks to a three-pointer from Wilson.
 
• At the midway mark of the first half, junior guard Deyshawn Tengbeh (East Providence, R.I.) and freshman guard Mike Paquette (Cranston, R.I.) hit back-to-back three-point shots to kick start a 19-3 run over 5:46 to help the visitors take a 36-28 lead with 4:17 remaining.
 
• RIC went into the locker room holding on to a 43-40 lead at halftime.
 
• With RIC leading, 56-52, with 13:14 remaining in the second half, the Wolves went on a 16-3 run to take a 68-59 lead with 5:38 left to secure their sixth conference win.
 
• Sophomore guard Isaiah Dahl (Cornelius, Ore.) registered 17 points and three steals.
