Weston, Mass.--Senior forward Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) scored 11 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double of the season as Rhode Island College defeated Regis, 71-66, on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Pride jumped out to an 8-2 lead with a couple of three-point shots by senior guard Cameron Wilkins (Taunton, Mass) and junior forward Russell Rau (Fitchburg, Mass.).
• The rest of the first half was defensively heavy as only eight combined points were scored in four minutes of game time. The Pride would take a 38-34 lead into the locker room after 20 minutes of play.
• RIC found themselves down, 50-42, with 15 minutes left to play. They would go on a 13-2 run to take a 55-52 lead midway through the second half.
• Junior guard Deyshawn Tengbeh (East Providence, R.I.) would hit two free-throws with just under a minute remaining to put the Anchormen up by three, 67-64.
• A dunk by Kourouma would be the dagger as RIC put the game away.
