Men's Basketball second half rally falls short in loss to Immaculata

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – A furious second half rally was not enough as Immaculata (4-1) edged Stevenson (2-2) 66-64 in men's basketball on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Mighty Macs saw the Mustangs rally from a 15-point deficit to get within one with 3:52 left in the game. The Mustangs would not retake the lead and its three-point attempt near the end of the game did not fall.
 
For Stevenson, Rasheed Cooley had 16 points, with Cameron Smith adding in 12 and Nate Arrington getting ten.
 
Immaculata – who won the Mustang Classic presented by the Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre – got 16 points from Gregory Vlassopoulos and ten each from Tyler Tillary and Mandon Seapoe.
 
Stevenson had a 38-36 edge on the glass with Cooley grabbing eight, with Arrington and Mason Jones each getting six.
 
Joey Lutz picked up three steals.
 
Stevenson will host California Lutheran on Tuesday.
