CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana - February 21, 2023 - The Hiram men's basketball team finished their season with a 91-71 loss to No. 2-seeded Wabash Little Giants in the quarterfinals of the NCAC Tournament on Tuesday evening at Chadwick Court.

It was a hard-fought effort from the Terriers, who outscored their opposition in points in the paint (48-42) and points off turnovers (10-9). Hiram shot an even 50% from the field in the first half (15-30) and held Wabash to a 44% FG pct in the second half (14-32).

Brodgie Gordon finished his collegiate career with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, with his senior teammate Kevin Beans Jr. recording 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. Noah Adams led all players on the team with 18 points, giving him a combined 40 points over his final two games of the campaign.

Wabash started the game on a 21-4 run and didn't look back; the team didn't trail the entire game and put up 45+ points in each half. Four different Little Giants players scored at least 14 points.

Hiram wouldn't back down, though, cutting a 17-point deficit in half thanks to a 21-13 run to end the first half. Adams scored 13 points in the half, including a jumper in the final minute.

The Little Giants kept a double-digit lead throughout the second half, but Manuel Devora Violan provided some life with all 7 of his points in the half. The freshman finished with career-highs in minutes (15) and points (7).

It's the final game in what has been a strong season for the Terriers, who finished with a winning record at home (7-5) and its most wins in a season (11) under head coach Taylor Roth. The team's 5-game win streak in December was its longest since December 2017.

Hiram will now look ahead to 2023-24 with most of its roster coming back. The team has a chance to improve its record for a 4th straight season with Roth at the helm.
