William Paterson Men's Basketball Falls to Rutgers-Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (8-8, 2-7 NJAC) fell to Rutgers-Camden (3-13, 1-8 NJAC), 80-55, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) road game on Jan. 14.


HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Rutgers-Camden came out the gate red hot and shot 62 percent (20-of-32) from the floor with 12 made 3-pointers to grab 53-20 halftime lead. The Scarlet Raptors maintained their large advantage the rest of the way en route to earning the conference win.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Junior Tyreek Montgomer led the Pioneers with 10 points with all three of his makes coming from long distance.
  • Junior Shawn Summers Jr. logged nine points on 4-of-8 (.500) shooting.
  • Senior Michael Gilmore reeled in a team-best five boards.

 
UP NEXT:

  • The Pioneers will return to the Sports and Recreation Center on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to host Kean for an 8:00 p.m. NJAC contest.
