SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—Hobart College senior Jackson Meshanic made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Statesmen to a 77-74 Liberty League victory at Union College this afternoon.

Meshanic recorded his 10th double-double of the season on game-highs of 29 points and 10 rebounds. He was 12-of-18 shooting, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. It's the second time this season that Meshanic has made five 3-pointers in a game. Classmate Patrick Walker joined him in double digits with 19 points and six boards. He was 7-of-15 shooting and went 5-of-8 at the line.

Meshanic made his fourth 3-pointer of the afternoon with 1:46 remaining to give the visitors a 73-67 lead. With under a minute remaining, Union's Chris Lovisolo made two shots, one from outside the arc and one from inside, to cut the Statesmen advantage to one with 13 seconds left.

Walker made 1-of-2 at the line with 8 seconds left to make it a 74-72 game, but the Dutchmen secured the rebound off the miss and went the length of the floor, tying the game on Brian Noone's layup setting up the dramatic finish.

Sophomore Pat Healy inbounded the ball and threw a perfect pass to Meshanic on a crossing route. He took two steps to get himself squared up to the basket and launched a shot on the run that banked off the backboard and dropped through the rim for the win.

Union had four players in double digits led by Lovisolo's 19 points. Noone added 16 points. Mike Manley scored 12 points, grabbed a team-high six rebounds and handed out a game-high six assists. Mike Concannon chipped in 10 points.

COACH'S CORNER

"Today was a back-and-forth game. I thought our bench gave us great energy and minutes. We needed some luck to be on our side to come out with the win. Pat threw a phenomenal pass and Jackson made a phenomenal catch and shot. Our team's ability to play to the final buzzer served us well today."
