WILLIAMSPORT, PA (January 11, 2023) – The host Lycoming College fired on all cylinders offensively as they connected for 21 threes and shot 53.1 percent from the floor for the game to hand the King's College men's basketball team the 92-54 loss in Lamade Gymnasium in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play. The Monarchs now stand at 6-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play, while the Warriors move to 9-6 and 4-2 in the MAC Freedom.

It was a tie ball game at 9 a piece with 14:00 minutes to play in the first half before Lycoming (9-6, 4-2 MAC Freedom) opened up the scoring with 16 unanswered points, holding King's (6-9, 1-6 MAC Freedom) scoreless over the next 5:54 of play, as the Monarchs trailed, 25-11, with 8:06 left before the break. The Monarchs hung tight through the remainder of the half before heading into the locker room trailing, 42-29.

The Monarchs woes continued in the second half as there seemed to be no answer to the sharp-shooting night from Lycoming as the visitors would see King's fall on the road, 92-54, in the MAC Freedom contest.

Junior Will Johnson led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 7-of-14 from the floor, with a team-high five rebounds, an assist, and a steal. First year Brendan Lonergan added eight points off the bench, while senior Tyler Faux dished out a team-leading two assists.

Mo Terry posted 17 points with four threes to lead the Warriors, while Dyson Harward added 12 points and a team-best nine rebounds. Additionally, Steven Hamilton tallied five helpers with eight points and four boards for Lycoming.

King's took care of the ball well as they committed just eight turnovers in the contest, while their defense forced 14 turnovers by the Warriors. The Monarchs did edge out the Warriors in points in the paint, 26-18, and the King's bench delivered again as they contributed 20 points.

The Monarchs will be off for the weekend before returning to play on Wednesday, January 18. King's will host cross-town rival Wilkes University in MAC Freedom play at home in McGrane Gymnasium at 6:00 p.m.
