PURCHASE, N.Y. – It was a tale of two halves as the William Paterson men's basketball team (2-1) saw its double-digit halftime advantage disappear after a strong second-half performance lifted Manhattanville (4-1) to a 75-61 victory on Nov. 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Pioneers had an efficient first half, shooting the ball at a 48-percent clip (13-of-27) from the floor and 44-percent mark (7-of-16) from long range to build an 11-point lead (36-25) heading into the halftime break.
  • However, the Valiants completely flipped the script in the final 20 minutes as they scored 50 of their 75 points on 19-of-31 (.613) shooting from the field. From the 17:10 mark of the second stanza to the final horn, Manhattanville outscored William Paterson, 48-19, and missed just eight shots from the floor on 26 shot attempts.
