Rowan Faces Stockton for NJAC Championship on Saturday

GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan will look to take home its second conference title in the last three seasons played when the #2 seed Profs take on #1 seed Stockton in the 2022 NJAC Men's Basketball Championship on Saturday, February 26. Tip-off at The Sports Center in Galloway, NJ, is 6 p.m.  
 
The NJAC champion earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, with the bracket being announced on Monday, February 28 at 12:30 p.m.

2022 NJAC CHAMPIONSHIP – February 26, 6 p.m.
#2 ROWAN (22-4) at #1 STOCKTON (23-4)

 • Rowan's last NJAC title came in 2018-19, when it defeated NJCU, 80-77, in Esby Gym. This marks the second appearance in the championship game under head coach Joe Crispin
• The Profs have won eight in a row – their last loss was a 96-91 decision at Stockton on Jan. 26. Stockton also defeated Rowan in Esby Gym, 98-69, on Dec. 1
• In six years with the Profs, Crispin owns a 90-46 overall record
• The Profs are the fourth-highest scoring team in NCAA Division  III (93.0) – this season, they have reached or surpassed 100 points in nine games
• Marcellus Ross, an All-NJAC First-Team selection, leads Rowan in scoring with 17.6 ppg and is hitting 81.8 percent from the foul line
• Andrew Seager was named to the All-NJAC Second Team and is averaging 17.6 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. He also tops the squad in FG percentage (.543) and 3-Pt. percentage (.420)
• Arian Azemi (14.0 ppg) has a team-high 72 steals on the year while the team ranks third in the nation with 379. Rowan is also third in the NCAA in turnovers forced (22.5)
• Hafeez Melvin has played a key role in the late season success for Rowan. He's averaged double figures in 10 of the last 11 games, hitting for 20-plus points in three of the last five games. Melvin scored a career-high 23 points twice this season, including in the last meeting with Stockton
• Rowan leads the nation in free throws made and free throw attempts, and ranks second in rebounds (1,287) and rebounds per game (47.7)
