KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost an Empire 8 Conference game 102-86 to St. John Fisher College on Friday night at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.

Devin Milton (Opelousas, La. / Beau Chene) led Keuka College (0-12, 0-4 Empire 8) with 22 points. A trio scored nine for the Wolves with Mason VanDeMortel (Newark, N.Y. / Newark) and Will Tehan (Victor, N.Y. / Victor) adding a team-high eight rebounds to their nine points.

St. John Fisher College 102 at Keuka College 86

The teams traded baskets early on Friday night. In total, there were five ties and seven lead changes, most coming early in the first half. A Will Tehan free throw, followed by a Devin Milton jumper and a Zayquan Warren (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Holy Cross) layup gave the Wolves a 25-19 advantage midway through the first. A minute later, a three by Milton pushed the lead to nine. After St. John Fisher cut it back down to a single possession game, 31-28, DJ Billings (Rochester, N.Y. / Greece Odyssey) and Daniel Obunse (Queens, N.Y. / Flushing) made back-to-back threes to widen the margin. A three-point play by Obunse gave the Wolves a 40-29 lead with 6:27 left in the half. The Cardinals rallied in a big way. St. John Fisher scored 19 unanswered over the next 3:26 to tie the game and take an eight-point lead over Keuka. Nana Oteng (Queens, N.Y. / Martin Luther) snapped the run with a pair of free throws, but the Cardinals remained ahead the rest of the half and led 56-47 at the break.

Keuka College battled to say in the game in the second half. Four minutes in, a three by Mason VanDeMortel cut the margin to eight, 65-57. Jahmr Jordan (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) followed that with a three of his own as the game was down to five, but that would be as close as Keuka would make it. The Cardinals opened up a double-digit lead over the Wolves and held on for the 102-86 victory.

  • The Wolves are now 3-24 in the all-time series with the Cardinals. St. John Fisher College has won the last 15 meetings
  • Keuka College hit 13 threes in the game, giving them 163 on the season. It is the fourth-most in program history
  • For the second-straight game, Keuka College out-rebounded their opponent. The Wolves had a 44-42 edge on the boards, but St. John Fisher had the edge in points in the paint, outscoring the Wolves 68-22 under the basket
  • Jorden Lewis (Houston, Texas / Home-Schooled) was also a part of the nine-point club for the Wolves
