ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost on Tuesday night at Elmira College 91-81 in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Elmira College 91 vs. Keuka College 81

Keuka College had a strong defensive start, forcing Elmira College into a shot clock violation. Keuka then came right down the court and Jorden Lewis (Houston, Texas / Home-Schooled) drained a straightaway three for the early lead. Elmira College answered, however, scoring 16 straight to take the lead. A layup by Ezeke Pulliam (Knox, N.Y. / Berne-Knox-Westerlo) snapped the run. The Soaring Eagles maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the half. The Wolves made the last basket of the period as Jahmr Jordan (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) made a long two-point jumper to make it a 15-point game, 47-32, at the half.

The Wolves started the second half like they did the first. Following a defensive stop, Will Tehan hit a three to open the scoring. Elmira College responded and pushed their lead to 20 midway through the half. Keuka College did not let up. A 14-2 run cut the lead to 85-77. The Wolves scored the final 10 points of the run with the aid of their pressure defense as Elmira had four turnovers and zero shots during the span. Keuka cut the lead to seven in the final minute, but the clock would run out on the Wolves as the Soaring Eagles hung on to the 91-81 victory.
