THE DETAILS
• Marian scored the first four points of the game but did not lead again
• Trevor Montiel splashed home three three-pointers in an 11-0 run as Benedictine surged ahead 11-4 with 15:53 left in the first half
• Marian pulled within three before Benedictine was able to push the lead to double digits at 29-19 on a three from Connor Riley and a dunk from Marvin Agwomoh
• The points were the first in a 12-0 run as Benedictine opened a 36-17 lead on a Nick Kosich jumper with 4:41 remaining in the half
• Benedictine led 45-25 at the half
• Zach Derus opened a 10-0 run with a three-pointer as Benedictine led 74-42
• The lead reached as many as 35 points as the game wound down
STAT LEADERS
• Montiel hit five threes and finished 6-of-8 from the field to lead the way with 17 points
• Jeff Kratz netted 11 in his first start, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range
• Riley also scored 11 in the win
• Benedictine made 16 threes in the game including nine in the first half, finishing at 50 percent from behind the arc
• Benedictine shot 50.9 percent for the game and received 40 points from the bench as 13 different players scored and 17 saw the floor
