HOW IT HAPPENED
-A tight contest for the first six-plus minutes, the home team went on a 14-3 run at the under-eight mark in the opening half.

-Sewanee would rally to cut the deficit to two points, 31-29, at the intermission.

-The visitors would rally to take its first lead of the second half thanks to an Adrian Thomas layup that gave the Tigers the 43-42 advantage with 15 minutes left in the contest.

-A see-saw battle that saw eight ties and 14 lead changes would eventually come down to the final two minutes of regulation. Thomas made back-to-back layups to give Sewanee a 73-70 lead. However, with 47 seconds left in the contest, Dimetri Chambers was fouled beyond the three-point arc and tied the game by making all of his free throws.

-On the next Tiger possession, Ryan Starr knocked down a triple of his own to give the visitors a 76-73 advantage with 25 seconds left in regulation.

-The Petrels responded with a 3-pointer of their own, but as Justin Day's attempt went through the net, he was fouled. He converted the four-point play to give the hosts the 77-76 advantage.

-After the Tigers' next trip came up short, the team was forced to foul Lane Foster, who only made 1-of-2 from the charity stripe with four seconds left and Oglethorpe leading 78-76.

-Sewanee inbounded the ball from the backcourt and Michael Barry called timeout after crossing the timeline. Following the timeout, Starr passed to Jordan Warlick who made a deep 3-pointer as the final horn sounded to give Sewanee the 79-78 victory.

-With the win in Atlanta on Friday, the Tigers secured their first win over the Petrels on their home floor for the first time since Jan. 8, 2017.
