MARCY, N.Y. — Junior James Barnes (Rochester, N.Y. / University Prep) scored 21 points for Keuka College but it was not enough as the Wolves fell at SUNY Poly 93-72 on Saturday.
Barnes led Keuka College (3-11, 2-5 NEAC) in scoring. Nana Oteng (Queens, N.Y. / Martin Luther) and Nolan Ivey (Upperville, Va. / Middleburg Academy) each added 12 points in the loss.
SUNY Poly 93 vs. Keuka College 72
The host Wildcats jumped out to a 12-2 advantage over the Wolves on Saturday. The Wolves battled to keep the game in reach. A 10-2 run for Keuka shrunk the deficit to 13, 30-17. Keuka would drop the margin to 12, but it would be as close as it would get for the Wolves as they trailed 48-32 at the half.
Keuka College improved on their shooting from deep in the second half, hitting four threes in the frame. The Green and Gold also went 10-11 from the line, but were unable to cut into the Wildcat advantage. SUNY Poly would usher the game out as they defeated the Wolves 93-72 on Saturday.
